STING SPIRIT: Let’s Hear It!

Published On April 13, 2018 | By Matt McNeill | Afternoons

If you have watched or listened to the last couple of playoff games especially,
then you can get a pretty good idea
of the big, loud, exciting party atmosphere
that builds up like a massive thundercloud – around that rink…

And its true….there is nothing– quite like being there  when that air moves  around you…and you get buried in the roar of that crowd when our sting light up the other net.
You can really feel that rush.. you get the goosebumps – and you’re a big part of it.
Make no mistake.

You can feel it in the air.  Our Sting boys – they feed off of that and it makes a huge difference.. and your Game Day crew – we know that you have it in you.

So, I took us  behind the scenes,  and on the screens — during last night’s live video
that we broadcasted and posted up on our K106.3 Facebook Page..

Live from game 4. Go sting go

We traveled up to the media center upstairs, where Jon does the overhead announcing.
And where Lee and Patrick do the radio broadcast on our sister station CHOK and into the control center with Jen and Jake and the upstairs component of the Game Day Crew.

This is where they  electrify the  LED power ribbon and light up the NEW massive high def screens. It was fun to take you along,  past  the Authorized Personnel Only doors
for that very rare look behind the scenes –  for a taste of  what is, honestly speaking,
one of
the very coolest  jobs out there:  Getting into PARTY MODE with YOU, our
awesome STING FANS!

If you have any ideas or questions, places or people you’d like to check out as we
run around, prize up and party up in the arena – Comment or email:
[email protected]

Until next time, let’s get loud.
Let’s get ROWDY!!!
GO STING GO!!

**And for more behind-the-scenes access, you can
