1971: George Harrison’s started a seven week run on top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart with “All Things Must Pass”.


 

2005: Green Day reached number one on the U.K. Album Chart with their seventh album “American Idiot”. This album would go on to be nominated for seven Grammy Awards and win the Best Rock Album of 2005.

 

2009: It was revealed that AC/DC was the biggest seller in albums in the U.S. in 2008 selling a combined total of 3.4 million albums thanks in large part to their album Black Ice which was released that October.
