In 1990 Aerosmith had their 5th Top Ten Single with “Janie’s Got a Gun.”

In 1998  Axl Rose was arrested for allegedly threatening to punch out a security guard who was searching his luggage at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

In 1979 Dire Straits released their debut single “Sultans of Swing” in the U.S.

In 1978 Van Halen released their self-titled debut album. It went on to sell over  ten million copies in the U.S. alone.

In 1970 ZZ Top performed their first concert in Beaumont, TX.
