In 1988, At Wembley Stadium in London, a birthday tribute concert to Nelson Mandela took place. Some of the acts on the bill included Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Dire Straits, & Stevie Wonder.

In 1976, Rush began a three night stand at Massey Hall in Toronto. These three shows were recorded for what became the band’s first live album “All the World’s a Stage”.

In 1966, The Rolling Stones reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart for the third time with “Paint It, Black”.
