In 1990, The Steve Miller Band reached the top of the U.K. Singles Chart with “The Joker” after it had been used in a commercial for Levi’s commercial in the U.K.

In 1988, Mark Knopfler announced the official end of Dire Straits. They would reunite in 1991 before splitting up for good in 1995.

In 1982, Queen performed their final concert in the U.S. with Freddie Mercury at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.

In 1979, Led Zeppelin reached the top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart for the sixth time with In Through the Out Door which began a seven week run on top.
