In 1969 George Harrison’s song ‘Something’ was released as the “A” side of a Beatles’ 45.  Along with Lennon and McCartney’s Come Together, the single went on reach No.1 on the US chart the following month.

In 1979  Led Zeppelin’s In Through The Out Door was at No.1 on the US album chart.

In 1977  Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett announced that he was leaving the group to start a solo career.
