Salmon Derby Update

Adam Ibbotson of Burlington is the new leader in the Trout – Shore category.

The leaders in the other categories are …
- Jim Gibson of Dorchester in the Salmon category,
- Scott Hunter of Belmont in the Trout – Boat category,
- Heather Tieman of Dashwood in the Lake Trout category,
- Mike Howe of Sarnia in the Walleye category,
- Fisher Beaubien of Sarnia the Kids category.

There were 74 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 182 fish entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a Salmon Derby total of 768 fish entered.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Doug Anamson of Wheatley with a 17.46 pound salmon.

The Daily Draw winners are Jeff Vanhuizen of Brights Grove at the Sarnia weigh station and Albert Van Moorsel of Wyoming at the Port Franks weigh station.

Wednesday, May 2nd is Seniors Day for the more seasoned anglers 65 and older.

The Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby runs until Sunday afternoon, May 6th.

Roof Truss Injury

A worker at Watford Roof Truss was injured at mid morning today. (Tues) The Labour Ministry’s Matt Blajer says roof trusses on a cart fell on a worker when he was banding them together.  He says an inspector attended the workplace and a compliance order was issued.

Blajer could not comment on the extent of injury and the status of the worker.
