The Lambton College Esports Arena is proud to host a full lineup of one-week summer camps for 2019. Your kids will enjoy playing all of their favourite video games and learning how to play new ones. They’ll be sure to make some new friends along the way too!

We encourage a "healthy gaming" environment, so the camp also includes plenty of outdoor activities to give your kids some time away from the computer screen. We also provide a delicious lunch every Friday! All camps run from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

WAKEBOARD DAY CAMP
- Ages 6-14 yrs.

Whether you are a beginner or aspiring wakeboarder, Boarder Pass camps will help you improve your skills and meet like minded campers. Our summer camps are not only tons of fun but we also cover the history of the sport, orientation, safety, hand signals, wakeboarding terms and practical wakeboarding. Our camps have programs for all skill levels and ages!

We encourage parents to Book early! This not only guarantees your spot but helps the Boarder Pass staff create a profile for your child which will help us match them with others in the same ability, age and personality. On the final camp day we host a lunch party and an awards ceremony for all the students and parents and encourage everyone to wear a costume for added fun!

Additional Camp Details:
- All Day Camps run Monday-Friday from 9am-1pm

TEEN WEEK
- July 7-12 (ages 12-15 yrs.)

Campers at this camp will spend 2 nights at our Wilderness camp. Here they will learn camping survival skills like fire starting, & cooking over a campfire. Campers will also be introduced to canoeing through the wetlands on the shore of Lake Huron. NEW THIS YEAR, experience Natures Classroom, where campers will experience an exciting presentation from the Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation! Campers will enjoy many exciting activities like campfires, crafts, mountain biking, swimming, building team skills on our low element challenge course and more (NEW challenges this year).

OPEN WEEK
- July 21-26 (ages 7-14 yrs.)

This exciting week is focused on building confidence & developing friendships through exciting activities.Gather around a campfire to sing songs, enjoy skits & listen to legends as told by the Elders. Campers will be able to choose from a variety of interest sessions like video gaming, robotics, crafts, canoeing & more. Campers will also have lots of time for their favourites like swimming, gaga ball, archery, mountain biking & more!

ALL GIRLS WEEK
- July 28-Aug. 2 (ages 7-14 yrs.)

Designed to build self-esteem and strong friendships this camp follows the structure of a typical camp week, campers will experience all of the wonderful activities & outdoor adventures that Lambton Centre has to offer. Swimming, campfires, crafts, drama, natures classroom (NEW), low elements challenge course (NEW ELEMENTS) and more!

DISCOVERY CAMP
- Aug. 7-9 (ages 5-11 yrs.)

Discover why summer camp is an amazing experience that builds self-confidence & the perfect place to learn new skills & make friends. This Wednesday-Friday camp will include campfires, crafts, swimming, archery the low elements challenge course, Natures Classroom (NEW) & more.

SPORTS & ARTS WEEK
- Aug. 18-23 (ages 7-14 yrs.)

Campers can choose to focus on sports or arts for the week or a combination of both. Campers more interested in SPORTS will be enjoy a variety of activities (soccer, basketball, mountain biking, lacrosse + gaga ball). Campers interested in the ARTS will be inspired by a local artist who will lead campers in an activity to bring out creativity, exploring the world of creative expression in different ways (painting, sculpture, music, dance, + drama). These activities are in addition to the traditional camp activities (swimming, archery, geocaching, natures classroom (NEW), + campfires).

LEADER IN TRAINING (L.I.T.)
- July 21-26+ (ages 15-17 yrs.)

This 3-week program is designed for the teenager who loves the outdoors & would like to develop strong leadership skills. During the first week of training, LIT’s will participate in interesting & interactive workshops & activities designed to challenge them to reach their leadership potential. Programming will include sessions on communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, teamwork, program planning & healthy child development. Following the initial training week, participants will have a week shadowing an experienced counsellor. The second 2 weeks can be selected out of the available remaining weeks of camp.

STEM camp will inspire youth through science, technology, engineering & mathematics. Campers will take on activities such as space exploration, robots, bridge building, Lego & welding simulators. Get inspired through STEM topics! Groups will be separated by age.

NEW in 2019! This stream of camp programming is designed for the sport enthusiast! This camp offers participants a plethora of sport related activities to engage in & learn about. Whether we travel the globe to learn about sporting traditions or remain at home & focus on skill development in some ‘traditional’ Canadian sports, these weeks are sure to satisfy. Be certain to register based on age.

LEGO ROBOTICS
- July 8-12 (ages 6-9 yrs.)

Planned to give your child hands on experience building & learning, challenging each individual through creative play in a fun, relaxed & stimulating environment. Lego camps will apply concepts of math, science & art to inspire the imagination!

CLAY CAMPERS
- July 8-12 (ages 10-13 yrs.)
- July 29-Aug. 2 (ages 6-9 yrs.)

A great experience for young artists who enjoy bringing their ideas to life! Over the week campers will explore a wide variety of ceramic techniques such as shaping clay into pinch pots, designing & constructing slab projects, creating coiled vessels & even throwing simple forms on the potter’s wheel. Each camper will finish & decorate 5-8 projects. Please wear closed toes shoes, dress for the mess and bring a hand towel. All levels of experience are welcome & all material costs are included.

BAKING
- July 15-19 (ages 6-9 yrs.)
- Aug. 19-23 (ages 6-9 yrs.)

For kids who love to bake & want to learn their way around a kitchen! Campers will work alongside a trained chef to create delicious treats. No need to bring any snacks with you to camp, as you will be making some each day, but please bring a lunch.

ADVANCED BAKING

For kids who have a passion for baking! Campers will work alongside a trained chef to create delicious treats. Take your baking skills to the next level! No need to bring any snacks with you to camp, as you will be making some each day, but please bring a lunch.

SKILLS WORK
- July 22-26 (ages 6-9 yrs | ages 10-13 yrs.)

Include 5 days with 5 different topics. Campers will learn a new hands on skill each day such as photography, carpentry, entrepreneurship, baking & electrical. Groups will be separated by age.

ALL ABOUT YOU SPA

Discover all the tricks of beauty. Working with an esthetician, campers will learn about skin care, basic make-up application, manicures & pedicures. Campers will have the opportunity to practice these skills on other campers & we guarantee your child will be a hit at your next slumber party!

JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS

Our most popular camp returns! This exciting, action packed camp has been developed to educate & entertain the junior fire fighter! Campers learn a multitude of fire safety topics & engage in hands on learning experiences. Transportation will be provided to the Lambton College Fire & Public Safety Centre of Excellence.

MULTI CULTURAL AMAZING RACE

Multi Cultural Amazing Race camp is your child’s passport to an exciting fun filled week! Campers will have the opportunity to explore the Chinese, Brazilian, Indian & Indigenous cultures by participating in activities that showcase the values of each culture.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Never before have we offered such a comprehensive & robust camp program, which truly prepares our camp graduates for a leadership role in a variety of capacities. Remaining true to our core camp focus of creating experiences in academically enriched & sport specific programming, Youth Leadership Development will prepare camp graduates for a meaningful leadership role in whatever they choose to engage in.

Creative campers is for the young individual who wants to explore the amazing possibilities with different creative mediums. Campers will have the opportunity to engage in different art activities that allow their creative side to shine. Art can be messy at times, so campers should dress appropriately.

KIDS GRIEF CAMP

Kid’s Camp will be held July 22nd-26th at Canatara Park in the Kiwanis pavilion, for children who have experienced the death of a special person. Campers have the opportunity to take their grief outside & connect with others who have experienced a loss.

Camp focuses on themes such as memories, emotions, caring for ourselves and changes, with lots of time for fun and play! Before registering each child is required to complete an intake assessment.
